Ben Lomond Cemetery 2013

During Memorial Day weekend the Gees have a tradition. We go to visit the graves of our ancestors. Lest we forget.

This is my Grandaprents' gravestone in the Ben Lomond Cemetery.   Lois Ruth Belnap Erickson and Eldred Hilmar Erickson. My grandma passed away 2011. I have fond memories of visiting her in Pleasant View and in Provo UT. My grandpa passed away before I was a teenager.  He served in the Aleutian Islands during WWII.

Just east of them in the cemetery lie my great-grandparents Hilmar and Luetta Randall Erickson.

I only have one vague memory visiting my great-grandparents in a nursing home, when I was on vacation on a summer trip to Utah. When we were at the cemetery we decided to visit Luetta's parents graves.  I knew that they were somewhere west of Lois' grave. As we were walking and looking, I realized that there was another woman looking for the same grave.  She was my grandpa's cousin. We had a nice visit with her as she told some of the Randall stories.

James Enoch Randall and Isabella Chadwick Randall

Also buried in the cemetery is a great-Aunt of reputable fame
Naomi Randall, author of "I am a Child of God" She is my great, great-Aunt.
